Background/Overview

Gilbert J. Malmgren started his career as a property insurance adjuster with General Adjustment Bureau in 1965.  In 1978, Gil Malmgren and James W. Douglas opened their own independent insurance adjusting firm which became a nationally known and respected company, Douglas & Malmgren.  With Mr. Douglas wanting to retire, Mr. Malmgren started his own independent adjusting firm Malmgren Group and a separate consulting company, Claims Consultants Group.

Under the guidance of Gil Malmgren, Malmgren Group quickly became respected as one of the top insurance adjusting firms in the world with some of the most sought after adjusting professionals on staff.  The firm focused on personal, commercial and industrial property losses and specialized in complex claims involving, business interruption, extra expense and dependent time element matters as well as course of construction claims.

In 2005, Mr. Malmgren sold the assets of Malmgren Group to three of his employees and continued to work using his consulting firm, Claims Consultants Group.  Claims Consultants Group continues with the same level of expertise and ethics that Mr. Malmgren has become known for throughout the industry.
